Canada
We lease, install, and service on-site biodigesters for commercial kitchens across Canada. No capital cost. No bins. No hauling.
The problem
Provinces keep tightening the rules. Nova Scotia already bans them from landfill. PEI charges almost double to tip mixed waste. New Brunswick is writing its rule now. And every week a truck comes for a bin that smells, leaks, and takes staff time to drag out.
Compostable organics are banned from landfill and incineration for businesses and institutions, including meat, fish, bones, dairy, and soiled paper.
You already have to divert it. Digesting on site is the cheapest way to comply.
Waste Watch sorting is mandatory for businesses. Sorted waste and compost tip at $136 a tonne; mixed waste at $230 a tonne plus a minimum surcharge.
Every tonne you digest is a tonne you neither sort nor pay to tip.
About 30 percent of landfilled waste is organic. The province is consulting on a legislated cap on organics to regional landfills, and only 4 of 12 regions collect organics today.
Get ahead of the rule before it becomes one.
No organics ban yet. Hauling distances are long and organics collection is limited outside the Avalon.
For remote sites and camps, the truck is the cost. Digest on site and cut the runs.
Rules differ by province and municipality. These four are documented; we confirm the ones that apply to your site during the assessment.
How it works
Aerobic digestion, on site, around the clock. Most food waste is gone inside 24 hours and leaves as grey water through a normal drain.
Any time of day, straight from the dish pit. No bags, no bins, no trips to the loading dock.
Plant-based media holds a microbe and enzyme blend. Paddles turn slowly, the motor runs about a quarter of the time. No smell, no methane.
Most waste is gone inside 24 hours. The machine never needs emptying and nothing is hauled away.
Certified load cells log what went in. A cloud dashboard turns it into diversion and CO2e figures for your ESG reporting.
The units
From a cafe to a processing plant. The four below cover most commercial kitchens; the full range is on the units page.
